Developing a habit of reading as a daily practice is a crucial objective of Ukraine’s public policy. It contributes not only to the development of reading literacy and the quality of education, but also to the development of critical thinking, self-realisation, and human potential in Ukraine as a whole.

Promoting and developing reading is impossible without strengthening Ukraine’s book ecosystem. Its development and support are among the key priorities of the Reading Development Strategy for the Period up to 2032, Reading as a Life Strategy, and its 2023-2025 implementation plan, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 3 March 2023.

The interactive map of Ukraine’s book ecosystem, presented today by the Ukrainian Book Institute, will help promote reading and bring books closer to Ukrainian readers.
