Publishers submitted 121 applications for the  competitive selection, 15 of which were rejected at the technical selection stage due to the non-compliance with the requirements of paragraphs 7-9 of the Regulation on the Translation support program and the applicant’ inability to implement their projects in accordance with the deadlines set out in the Announcement.

106 applications received from publishers that meet the program requirements were sent by e-mail to the members of Expert Council for the selection of projects for the translation of Ukrainian literature into other languages for thematic and substantive evaluation.

From June 30 to July 10, 2023 members of the Expert Council carried out the thematic and substantive evaluation of the projects in accordance with the evaluation criteria and filled out the individual evaluation forms.

A meeting of the Expert Council was held on July 13, 2023, during which its members reviewed the project rating based on their individual evaluation information, and approved the results of the thematic and substantive evaluation of the projects. 

On this basis, the members of the Expert Council formed a proposal to the Ukrainian Book Institute to include the selected projects in the list of projects supported under the Translation Support Program 2023. Based on the proposal of the Expert Council members, the Institute approved the list of projects selected for the program.
