On June 14, 2023, the Ukrainian Book Institute closed the call for applications for the Translation Support Program 2023.
In total, within the framework of Translate Ukraine-2023, the UBI received 120 applications from 31 countries (including Ukraine). Most of them for the translations of texts into Polish and English.
From June 14 to June 28, the technical selection of applications was carried out. 15 applications were rejected, in accordance with the Regulations on the Translation Support Program, in particular for the following reasons
- publications that were not published in Ukrainian by a Ukrainian publisher,
- inability to report within the specified timeframe,
- translation of works is planned not from Ukrainian but through an intermediary language (e.g., English),
- failure to submit the documents required by the Regulations.

The 105 projects listed in the table move on to the second stage of selection - evaluation by the Expert Council.
The selection results will be announced by July 14, 2023.
